Hello, my name is Rodrigo Valenzuela Cordescu, I´m chilean and I have kinship with av. Petre Cordescu, Romanian aces forces of ww2 (my grandfather) in "the 53rd fighter squadron" with hawker hurricane mk1. The reason the message is to learn more about the history of my grandfather AND I HOPE YOU HELP ME.
Rumania had ordered twelve hurricane is wich were delivered to escadrila 53 and numered 1 to 12, and my granfather are number 6 (image 130).
Petre Cordescu, entered in the Battle in June 22, 1944 with a Hawker Hurricane Mk1 fighter, shooting down two aircraft in one day http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/firstdayarr/firstdayarr.htm. of the rest of the battles we have no details, but I think they were very brave and that captured the attention of the Germans, giving the iron cross (image 152).

from what I've read on the Internet I have: nickname had as rat, rat or duck. mentioned in a page with Horia agarici and three more formed a group called "the four horsemen of the apocalypse".
