Romanian Air Force pilot Petre Cordescu photo collection from Rodrigo Valenzuela Cordescu

Hello, my name is Rodrigo Valenzuela Cordescu, I´m chilean and I have kinship with av. Petre Cordescu, Romanian aces forces of ww2 (my grandfather) in "the 53rd fighter squadron" with hawker hurricane mk1. The reason the message is to learn more about the history of my grandfather AND I HOPE YOU HELP ME.

Rumania had ordered twelve hurricane is wich were delivered to escadrila 53 and numered 1 to 12, and my granfather are number 6 (image 130).

Petre Cordescu, entered in the Battle in June 22, 1944 with a Hawker Hurricane Mk1 fighter, shooting down two aircraft in one day http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/firstdayarr/firstdayarr.htm. of the rest of the battles we have no details, but I think they were very brave and that captured the attention of the Germans, giving the iron cross (image 152).

about Romanian decorations:
was one of the first three pilots in receiving "virtutea aeronautica un gradul de cavalier" (image 159 front and back).
national shooting champion with hurricane and heinkel (image 165 back)
virtutea aeronautica crucea de aur (image 180 front and back) principal person un carta de aur barbatie si credinta (image 180 front and back) principal person in carta de aur.

from what I've read on the Internet I have: nickname had as rat, rat or duck. mentioned in a page with Horia agarici and three more formed a group called "the four horsemen of the apocalypse".

instructor being night fighter of Soviet students in the second part of the war? (flying, they destroyed the plane's tail (with a ground missile?), had to bail out and landed on Soviet soil (was made prisoner). was obliged to instruct on night hunting, and after a time, was replaced by another Russian pilot captured by the rival faction (barter).

I read about a great escape happened at night when Soviet tanks stormed the airport. dismantle the aircraft had extra weight in order to escape the dark. blast shooting down two aircraft and allowed the rest could see the runway in the dark and could fly.

escaped in August 26, 1944 of cocargeaua or mamaia in Hurricane "8", escaping with his wife to Turkey. had an emergency landing in Istanbul and was cheered by those who received them (as far as I comment on the defection, my grandfather said that with the help of students, some guards got drunk at a party and took advantage of uploading on a plane that was dismantled. The aircraft is the hurricane number 8 he climbed in, with his wife. He said that as he had no instruments in the cockpit, looked down from the height and direction of the anti-aircraft guns. when he saw one that pointed to the other side, just under (he had no fuel) and a forced landing reached Istanbul. then put him in a japan boat which had to hide until to chile).

I hope you can help me or give me any information that I may have to keep on discovering and revealing the stories of my grandfather's war.
