Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat, from the US Navy's VF-5 White 'White 00' and operated from USS Yorktown 1943.
Personal aircraft of James H. Flatley CAG-5 of VF-5 based on the USS Yorktown. Flatley was already an Ace and a veteran of Coral Sea and the Solomons when called upon to lead VF-5 in initiating the Hellcat into combat during the Marcus Island raids of August/September 1943. The tri-tone paint scheme was applied in the field over the previous NS Blue-Gray/NS Light Gray scheme. Also noteworthy is the small national insignia on the fuselage.

There is four different weathering layers for these Hellcat's & I have also added numbers 00 through 29 bringing the total amount of skins in this pack to 34.
