Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat, from the US Navy's VF-5 White 'White 00' and operated from USS Yorktown 1943.

Personal aircraft of James H. Flatley CAG-5 of VF-5 based on the USS Yorktown. Flatley was already an Ace and a veteran of Coral Sea and the Solomons when called upon to lead VF-5 in initiating the Hellcat into combat during the Marcus Island raids of August/September 1943. The tri-tone paint scheme was applied in the field over the previous NS Blue-Gray/NS Light Gray scheme. Also noteworthy is the small national insignia on the fuselage.

This skin pack has the same four skins that where in the previous skin pack (F6F skin pack USN scheme 93879) numbers 30/31/32/33 except they have been reworked. There is four different weathering layers for these Hellcat's & I have also added numbers 00 through 29 bringing the total amount of skins in this pack to 34. This pack is encouraged to be used for Mission & Campaign building.
