Reformed 1 Nov 1938 in Kiel-Holtenau: 4. (Stuka)/186 with Ju87B, and 6.(Jagd)/186 on 15 Nov 1938 with Bf 109B from 5.(Jagd)/186 was formed 15 Jul 1939, and the Stab II./186 was formed on 10 Sep 1939:

On 10 Sep 1939 4./186 became 3./186 and left for I./186. 4./186 was reformed 11 Oct 1939, but was disbanded Dec 1939. A new 4./186 was formed from on 29 Feb 1940.

On 27 Jun 1940 4./186 moved to Köln-Ostheim, and was renamed On 5 Jul 1940 II./186 was redesignated with :
