Aircraft facilities and on-board accommodation:

Capacity: The ship can carry up to 3 aircraft of type: Ar. 196 on board. 2 aircraft on board in the hangar, 1 aircraft on the catapult.

Accommodation: 1 aircraft hangar between the chimney and the lower main mast, accommodation for 2 aircraft on board (1 can be dismantled, 1 with folded wings),one behind the other. Quarter-circular hall roof, as a sliding roof.

Centrifugal device: 1 compressed air operated DWK catapult of type FL 22 with 14 m acceleration length. Can be swiveled through 360 °. Location behind chimney onpedestal.

Takeover facility: 2 boat cranes on the upper deck, between the chimney and the aircraft hangar, each on starboard and port side.
