Profile 00: This IL2 skin profile is of a Fieseler Fi 156 Störch (Stork) operated by 2.(H)Pz/14 (Short Range Recon Group 14), commanded by a German Panzer Group North Africa 1941-42. With its desert color scheme this Fieseler Fi-156C-3/Trop Störch (Stork) based in North Africa, was operated by 2.(H)/14 under Afrika Korps and used for tank spotting duties. With excellent all-round visibility from the extensively glazed cockpit, and with unparalleled slow-flying characteristics, the Storch was ideal for these types of duties.

Photo 00: This Photograph is of a wrecked Fieseler Fi-156C-3/trop Störch (Stork) coded (5F+YK) operated by 2.(H)/ AufldGr.14 lies abandoned somewhere in North Africa in 1942. The camouflage scheme seems to consist of a very dense mottle of a light sand color, possibly of Italian origin over the original 70/71, while the relatively dark tone of the underside may indicate RLM 78. Note the excessively large swastika on the rudder, usual location for a Storch. 2.(H)Pz/14 (Short Range Recon Group 14), was commanded by a German Panzer Group North Africa 1941-42.
