Remarks:480 combat missions. A Soviet victory, an R-5 on 15 March, 1942. His 3rd victory was a Spitfire V over Malta on 8 July, 1942. Another Spitfire V, his 4th, was downed over Malta on 22 July. His 5th, a Hurricane over Malta on 12 August, 1942. His 9th, a P-40 over Malta on 2 November, 1942. His 14th, a P-40E on 14 January, 1943. His 15, a P-38 on 28 January, 1943. His 18th & 19th victories were two P-40's in the Desert on 26 February, 1943. His 21st, a Spitfire on 4 May, 1943. His 22nd, a P-40 on 5 May, 1943. His 30th, a P-51 2 km SE of Guardea Italy, NE of Viterbo, on 18 April, 1944. His 31st, a P-47 in the Aachen area on 12 October, 1944. His 32nd, a P-38 at Bande/Ardennes on 24 December, 1944. Werk # 6389 was Clausen's old AC.
