3./Jagdgruppe Drontheim from 3./JFS3
4./Jagdgruppe Drontheim from 4./JFS3

5. (slow.)/JGr. Drontheim (Maj Vladimir Kacka) was formed 25 Feb 1942 in Grove, as an indep. staffel to train Slovakian pilots.

In May 1942 4./Jagdgruppe Drontheim became Einsatzstaffel/Jagdgruppe Drontheim.

On 26 Jun 1942 Einsatzstaffel/JGr.Drontheim was used to form 11. and 12./JG5.

In Jul 1942 parts of Stab/JGr. Drontheim became Stab IV./JG5 and on 2 Jul 1942 5./JGr. Drontheim moved to Bad Pystyan and later became 13.(slow.)/JG52.

On 8 Aug 1942 redesignated JFS 3.
